Dog Walking
The Pet Carers dog walking service can be a lifeline if you work long hours, have hectic family commitments, are recovering from illness or just can’t face the rain!
Our dog walking service can be tailored to suit your dog’s needs. If your pet prefers exercising in a group and socialising with other dogs, or would rather take a leisurely solo stroll, we can discuss your requirements and adapt our service to suit.
Your dog will be picked up in our distinguished pet taxi that is fully fitted with a made-to-measure safety cage so they can travel in comfort and style.
Contact your local Pet Carers branch for more information. Please note, we are unable to walk bitches during their season.
Dog Boarding
Pet Carers has proudly established a network of carefully selected Host Families to work in tandem with your local Pet Carers branch to offer a comfortable, caring home environment for your dog as an alternative to kennels.
Each Host Family is an experienced dog owner whether they have their own dogs or not, they dedicate their home and time to your dog while you are away on holiday, treating them as their own pet. Safe in the hands of our experienced Host Family, you are able to enjoy your time away from home relaxed in the knowledge your family dog is being loved and treated with the utmost care.
You can keep in touch with your pet too, as all Pet Carers welcome calls, texts or emails from yourself whilst you are away.
Speak to your local Pet Carers branch to arrange a visit with the chosen Host Family prior to booking with the Pet Carers Home Boarding service. Please note, we are unable to board bitches during their season.
Puppy Visits
Settling a new puppy into your home is an important commitment. Puppies need a lot of time and attention to help establish a strong and trusting bond with their new owner.
Pet Carers can help by visiting your puppy when you have to work or run errands. We offer “relief” or mealtime visits, or just to check in and help them with their settling in. Your new family addition will have lots of attention and fuss during our visits - with some free training thrown in to help settle them when it’s time for us to leave.
As they get older, the visits can be tailored to suit every stage of your puppy’s growth and development.
1-2-1 Dog Training
A number of Pet Carers branches offer personal dog training sessions, designed and adapted to suit your dog.
Our training offers one-to-one tuition in the dog’s home environment, meaning a relaxed and familiar tailored approach for your dog without the distraction of a class environment.
Our approach is to help reinforce the bond between owner and dog. This means we do not use aversive therapies or punishment of any kind when handling and training dogs.
One of our most popular and successful methods is Clicker training. This is a method that works on the behavioural psychology of puppies and adult dogs. So whether you want to train basic obedience or tricks for fun, the clicker is a very effective and kind tool to use. You and your dog will love it!
Pet Carers understand and value the relationship between an owner and their dog. Owning a well-mannered, well-trained dog enhances the relationship and builds upon the strong and trusting bond. This in turn brings years of joy as an owner to a happy, stimulated canine companion.
