Oscar, all tired out after a Pet Carers walk.... aaaahhhh!

After a successful second year running Pet Carers Worcester, Sandra Raw has expanded her team again to cater for the ever-growing number of dogs needing their services. Pet Carers Worcester offers dog walking services, pet visits for cats and small animals, dog homeboarding and pet behavioural advice in Worcester and the surrounding area.

Having started out as a Guide Dog puppy trainer, Sandra has supplemented her extensive experience by gaining qualifications in the behavioural field, having been trained by renowned Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellor (APBC) member, Sarah Whitehead.  With her extended team, who regularly attend in-house and external training courses, Sandra is able to offer a 365-day reliable, professional service to her clients. With their focus on ‘Think Dog’ reward-based training, they offer a high level of competence in handling and training, due to Sandra being a fully qualified Animal Behaviourist and Dog Trainer who works across Worcestershire in this capacity but exclusively only through Veterinary referral. Therefore Pet Carers Worcester offers all our clients unrivalled high standards of safety, socialization and training benefits for all our dogs that are first class and totally canine focused.

Looks like a storm's coming

Looks like a storm's coming

As part of how we operate Pet Carers Worcester, all our dogs are walked everyday ‘off lead’. They run freely with their canine friends in wide open fields in the countryside around Kempsey and rural Worcestershire doing what they most enjoy! We walk four dogs at any one time with one dog handler and, whenever circumstances allow, we will walk up to eight dogs to provide extra benefits for our canine friends. With this number of dogs there are always two or more dog handlers with your treasured pets.

Walking your dog ‘off lead’ and on group walks provides substantial socialization and training benefits:

  • All our dogs are trained to recall to the whistle. This is at every distraction level and especially when they encounter other dogs! We walk over a hundred and twenty dogs a week and they are all trained to respond immediately on the whistle. We put tremendous effort into achieving this and it ‘no mean feat’ but we would also be ‘hoarse’ calling them by name all day long! What a joy for many owners to have a dog that always comes back!
  • Your dog learns how to ‘play’ properly with other dogs and this hugely improves his or her canine social skills.
  • He or she learns to make positive decisions for themselves in relation to their own behaviour, and without their owner telling them to.
  • We continue to reward all our dogs with praise or food treats when they perform any good behaviour for us!  We have lots of clients who comment that they have seen such ‘an improvement in my dog’.

Sandra and her team firmly believe that it’s the little extras that can make all the difference… simple things, like leaving a light on in the winter evenings so clients return to a warm welcome and their animals are not left in the dark, or providing a Welcome Home pack when you’ve been on holiday.

Pet Carers Worcester customer service is high on their list of priorities. They believe in excellent communication and encourage feedback and interaction with clients, including follow up calls after visits to check on your progress with times to suit you. This personal service can be of great benefit for working clients who are out all day. Notes are provided detailing your pet’s experiences whilst out walking or after a day or night’s homeboarding. Read some testimonials from satisfied clients.

Flexibility is key. Ad hoc walks are as important to us as our regular walks and we will do our utmost to accommodate your needs and those of your pet. All you have to do is ask… if we don’t currently offer a service we will try our best to deliver it!

With over 150 clients, 80% of which are repeat, Pet Carers Worcester has developed a wide network of home boarding Host families, so as near a perfect match can be found to suit your dog’s individual needs. You will then be able to go on that holiday secure in the knowledge that your dog is receiving the best care and attention whilst you are away, probably enjoying as much of a relaxing holiday as you are! We operate high standards of professionalism, from our uniformed and easily recognisable staff, to the high quality, safe travelling cages we have in our vans, to the hygiene standards maintained in our vans which are deep cleansed and treated for fleas/ticks every week.

Happy and safe in the Mutt Mobile

What happens next?

Once we have received a telephone call or email from you, we arrange an informal visit to your home, at a time to suit you, to meet you and your pet. We have a detailed questionnaire to complete to ensure we can cater to your requirements and can explain the Pet Carers Worcester services and reassure about any concerns you may have.
