Lisa Allen has been with the Pet Carers team for almost two year.  She is a valued Franchisee and has a wonderful nature with dogs.

Lisa joined Pet Carers with wealth of knowledge in dog handling and is well known dog trainer in Cheltenham.  She has completed an OCN (Open College Network) Clicker Training Course with Kay Lawrence.  This taught her the history and theory of dogs, breed study, nutrition, behaviour and canine body language.  Lisa successfully completed an additional course in Obedience taught by Steph Woolam.

Further training experience came from employment at Hearing Dogs based in Oxford.  This was a huge responsibility for Lisa, her job included training, matching up owners to their new dogs and then helping to settle and work their dogs in their homes.  Also, she helped out at Cheltenham District Dog Training Club and continues sharing her skills and knowledge with new owners at Puppytime Training in Cheltenham and has been there for 9 years.

When asked what she enjoys about her role Lisa replied “DOGS!  ANIMALS!  What’s not to like?  I love being out in the fresh air, I could never go back to working in an office now.  I continue to learn more about dogs by watching their behaviour while I’m out with them.  Every walk I do is different, even if it’s the same dogs on another walk.  It’s just so nice meeting other people out and about during the days.” She continued “It’s great being part of the Petcarers team.  I can honestly say it’s not like a job, it’s too much fun!”
